I bought my own VFR750F after I graduated from school.
This baby is born in 1990 and is black as you can see.

After I had my VFR for about 2 months I went on vacation to Ireland and England. Since the fact is that the roads in Ireland are in bad condition I can say the VFR is a very stable bike. One time I found myself flying through the air with my VFR and when we landed it just kept on driving like it never happend not a tank slapper or something like that. That's allso one of the things I love about the VFR, you can trust this bike and it handles wonderfully.

One of the first things I did was cutting of the rear fender, it was a little bit too BIG. See for your self.

One of the things I also changed was replacing the brake tubes with RVS brake tubes for better braking. I heard great story's about but I only notice the difference when braking really hard. But it looks good though.

To show you one of the beautifull things of the VFR I have made the following picture. You can see clearly
on this picture that the VFR has a mono arm. I see this as one of the beautifull things of my bike.

But sometimes bad things happen to good things, :-(. Here the voltage regulator just gave up on me, second time btw. And those things are expensive. But they don't drive without them, do they?

Here the both of the front forks started leaking oil. And not just a little bit oil. Some colleagues of mine helped me fixing it, which I'm very gratefull for. But both the rubber seals had to be replaced, these are only expensive if you buy genuine Honda parts. We placed the VFR in the garage of the company I work for and hanged it from a rope. Sorry VFR, I hope you'll forgive me.

If you go on a holiday wih your motorcycle you probably want to take some more stuff with you besides a toothbrush and some clean underwear. What you can do is buy a huge rucksack, or BMW like hard plastic case, no offence guys ;-). What I've chosen to do is buy sidebags from Oxford, they don't come cheap but they are worth the money. They are easy to atach to your bike, small or big (the difference between that is a zipper). They come with a rain coat and belts to carry them. They are robust. I've driven 200 km/h with them, not a problem. Common sense said to me that I shouldn't push my luck but I think I could have gone faster. I've gone to the Vosges with them. Okay you feel a difference when they are on your bike but they are not getting in your way while making those nice turns :-). They came in three colors: black, yellow, red and blue. A person who could count would say that those are four colors and to be honest, he's correct :-P

Here is a picture with his raincoat on.

My VFR is on it's way to become famous. Well, okay, that will take a while. But it was once used for demostration of a brake tester for motorcycle's at the company I work for.

And then it happens, you get hit by a BMW. I was driving through a traffic jam with a speed of about 40 km/h. Suddenly this guy in his brand new beemer want to go to the left lane. Not bothering using his turn signals.
That red thing is a replacement which I could borrow of the garage for one day, it sais supersport, yeah right from the year 1600.

Recently I had a new front tire fitted, a Contintal Contiforce. But it resulted in a strange vibration in the handle bars. Besides that I couldn't take my hands of them any more, cos when I did that it started started shaking violently. Thus I went back to Doornekamp Motorsport in Hoevalaken. They checked and rebalanced it. When I went back home I noticed that the vibration wasn't gone. After a few days I went beck to Doornekamp. We agreed I would come back later to give it a better look. So that's what I did today. First Gert took the VFR for a test ride. When he came back he said he noticed it too and it wasn't good. I was glad he felt the same way as I did meaning it wasn't a problem between my ears or something like that ;-). Gert and Gert-Jan changed the front tire for a brand new one. After that I took it for a test ride and the vibration was gone :-D

The Checking.

The removing of the wheel.

The removing of the tire.

The balancing.

Strange....

Yup, 96269,4 real km's. Of which about 64000 by me.

The next one?

Still pretty.

A picture of last year (2004).

Saturday the 12th of March 2005 me and my girlfriend have been to a motorcycle fair in Utrecht. Here I bought a brand new and necessary helmet. I think my old one was overdue for at least a year.

cool internal sunglasses

It's a system, handy with my glasses.
